Legal
Terms of Service
These terms explain the rules for creating an account and using Piggy’s personal and shared-finance tools.
Pre-launch legal review: This document provides Piggy’s intended product terms and must be reviewed with the final business entity, jurisdiction, contact details, and billing model before public release.
1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating or using a Piggy account, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and provide accurate account information. Piggy is not intended for children under 13.
2. What Piggy provides
Piggy offers tools for organizing accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, recurring activity, reports, and household collaboration. Piggy is a software service, not a bank, credit union, investment adviser, tax adviser, accounting firm, or legal adviser. Information and projections in Piggy are educational and organizational and are not professional financial advice.
3. Your account and security
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials, using accurate information, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access. You may not share credentials in a way that bypasses Piggy’s household permissions. Each person should use their own account.
4. Financial data and connected services
If you connect a financial institution or third-party service, you authorize Piggy and its service providers to access and process the information needed to provide the features you request. Connected services may have separate terms and privacy practices. Piggy cannot guarantee that third-party data will always be complete, current, or uninterrupted.
5. Household sharing
You control which eligible information is shared with a household. Workspace owners and administrators may manage membership and permissions, but every member remains responsible for what they add, share, approve, or change. Do not invite someone unless you intend to give them the access shown in the invitation.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse Piggy, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, upload malicious code, impersonate another person, violate another person’s privacy, use the service for unlawful activity, or reverse engineer protected portions of the service except where the law permits it.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of information and content you provide. You give Piggy the limited permission needed to host, process, display, back up, and transmit that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the service and provide features you request.
8. Paid features
If Piggy offers a paid plan, pricing, billing frequency, renewal terms, cancellation rights, and any trial conditions will be shown before purchase. Any final subscription language must be completed before paid features launch.
9. Service changes and availability
Piggy may improve, add, limit, or discontinue features. Reasonable notice will be provided when a material change could significantly affect access to stored information, unless urgent security, legal, or technical circumstances require faster action.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Piggy according to the account controls made available to you. Piggy may restrict or end access for material violations, unlawful conduct, security threats, or nonpayment of paid services. Data export and deletion options will be described in the product and Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers and liability
Piggy is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Financial calculations, merchant labels, forecasts, and recommendations may contain errors and should be reviewed before you make decisions. Final warranty disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms, and governing law must be approved for Piggy’s operating entity and users’ jurisdictions before launch.
12. Changes and contact
If these Terms materially change, Piggy will provide notice and identify the new effective date. The final support email, legal entity name, mailing address, and jurisdiction will be added before public release.
